“I am pleased to announce that the charitable organization I founded in 1996 with a mandate that includes providing medical support, the Canadian International Development Organization (CIDO), has established a new Gaza Urgent Relief Fund in partnership with the Mariam Foundation of Nazareth. Our target is to raise $100,000.
This fund will support work to bring treatment and care, to Palestinians with cancer, in the only such treatment facility in Gaza. Lifesaving treatment was difficult in the past. And now, virtually impossible. With your help, we will change this.
The Mariam Foundation is the official representative of Palestinian cancer patients in hospitals and healthcare services. It provides the support that patients and their families require to overcome cancer. The Foundation offers financial and emotional support, daily companions in hospitals and homes, and covers cancer treatment expenses.”
