I am pleased to offer my support for the Canadian International Development Organization (CIDO) and their efforts abroad. I am impressed by the demonstrated commitment of CIDO, a Canadian registered not-for-profit, charitable organization, for the improvement in the standard of living of those living in the Middle-East, particularly youth. I understand that one of the current initiatives is to collect and ship sporting, musical and outdoors equipment that will help youth be active and engaged – this will have a positive impact on youth. Our Canadian youth are fortunate to have access to programs and services to nurture their quality of life. The generosity of those who support CIDO to bring similar opportunities to youth in the Middle-East is worthy of our support. I commend the Board of Directors for their vision and commitment to enriching the lives of youth beyond our Canadian borders.

I would like to express my admiration for the charitable work CIDO is undertaking. In addition, I would like to congratulate you on your success in establishing The Canadian Palestinians Health Research Foundation. I am sure it will grow to be an important link between Palestinians and Canadians. Your efforts contribute positively to Canada's image and reinforce our own objectives. I wish CIDO and the foundation every success in their endeavours.
